About Azimuth
Azimuth Innovations was founded by Scott Hourin, leveraging over 25 years of experience in defense R&D, product development, and Warfighter capability transition. Our roots run deep in the defense community, built on Scott's multifaceted career as a Marine Corps Officer, government civilian supporting DoD labs, and in the small business sector with all of these being focused on bringing cutting edge capabilities to the Warfighter, be they trigger pullers, box kickers, or administrators; to us, all Warfighters are equally critical in accomplishing the mission.
We've spent decades building a robust network across the defense R&D landscape. This includes connections with small businesses pushing the boundaries of innovation, government agencies seeking cutting-edge solutions, academic institutions eager to transfer IP, and investors looking to make a meaningful impact in national security. Our experience spans the full spectrum of defense technology development - from navigating SBIR contracts to managing multi-million dollar R&D programs and transitioning capabilities to warfighters.
